Trimmit on bentgrass

View Larger Southern California, March, 2009. The bentgrass in this image has been treated with 12 oz Trimmit/acre every 14 days throughout the winter. Bentgrass doesn't grow very well in the winter and the additional stress of the Trimmit slowed the growth down excessively. The grass will recover but the rate of Trimmit will have to be reduced during times of stress, as the manufacturer recommends. Reduce rate or frequency of Trimmit applications when the cool season GP drops below 50% (indicated by yellow or red in your weather alerts) in the winter or the summer.
