Scalping accelerated transition

Scalping of the overseeded layer in this TifEagle nursery resulted in accelerated transition of the bermudagrass within a few weeks. Note how the dense, green appearance of the TifEagle is difficult to distinguish from the adjacent overseeded areas. Scalping occurred in March, 2007 and this photo was taken in April, 2007. Palm Springs area, California.
