This chart shows the highlighted green zones as the optimum dates for overseeding cool-season grasses into a warm-season base. The optimum dates are identified by finding the date at which cool-season GP starts to exceed warm-season GP. That marks the start of the optimum overseeding window. The end of this window is identified by finding the date when the 5 day average air temperature drops below 20 °C (68 °F).
