Improved transition with low mowing

Overseeded bermudagrass had a poor spring/summer transition due to shading in higher mown areas. The higher quality strip of turf in the middle of the photo is a tee walk-off that was mowed at lower heights. The transition was vastly improved here due to removal of the shading effects of the overseeded turf. Photo taken September, Southern California.
