High salinity causes paspalum failure

View Larger High salinity soils developed in this area due to low drainage, causing bermudagrass to fail. In an attempt to remedy the situation, a rectangular piece of paspalum sod was installed (arrow). However, soil salts were so high that paspalum eventually failed as well.
