Gray leaf spot, San Diego fungicide break-through
Gray leaf spot caused by Pyricularia grisea was detected on August 24th. A twenty-one day fungicide application schedule was not enough to prevent the epidemic from overcoming the turf. The stress index is a good indicator of gray leaf spot threat. Stress index values above 140 indicate temperature and humidity conditions favorable for disease.
