Frost on a fairy ring on a dormant korai fairway

Frost formed on a fairy ring on a December morning but not on the surrounding korai (Zoysia matrella) fairway. The suspected reason for this frost pattern is a difference in soil water content between the fairy ring and the non-fairy ring areas. The photo was provided by Andrew McDaniel.
