Flea beetle

View Larger These are minute beetles, with enlarged hind legs that allow them to jump in a manner similar to fleas. The adult beetles feed on foliage, but are rarely (with the exception of Dichondra) a pest on turfgrass. When they do occur, however, they can cause significant damage. See this Reference on flea beetles for more information.
