Firmness and Water Content
Greens firmness was monitored with a Clegg meter (graph on left) on 3 dates at Santa Ana CC (Santa Ana CC). Greens all stayed within the guideline of 70 - 125 g on the Clegg, though firmness did decrease during the summer months. The decrease was due to increased soil moisture (graph on right) during the high water demand months of June, July and August.
