Deep tine aerification and sand topdressing

This is a standard practice at some locations. First aerify using 5/8 inch hollow cores and remove the spoils. Apply 1/4 inch of USGA specification rootzone sand. Vertidrain using 3/4 inch diameter solid tines to a depth of 8 inches. Sweep or blow sand to fill holes and sweep excess sand onto approach.
