Bobble test from morning to afternoon

The bobble test scores ball roll on putting greens on a scale from 1 to 10. A score of 10 is a perfect roll with no bobble, chatter, or snaking. A score of 1 is a ball that bounces around before coming to an abprupt stop.

These are the scores measured after morning work (double cut at 2.6 mm with walk-behind mowers followed by a roll with a Toro lightweight roller) before play, and then measured after play and prior to any afternoon work. These measurements were made during the 2023 KBC Augusta golf tournament on zoysia greens at Keya GC in Fukuoka, Japan. Each score shown on the chart is the average of 54 ball rolls using the stimpmeter.
