Bensumec Trimmit Quicksilver and A4

View Larger March 2009, Southern California, Penn A4 bentgrass. In a struggle to control poa and moss, two herbicides and a growth regulator were applied in a sequence that should not have caused turfgrass stress, but did. The culprit seems to be applications of bensumec that are made within a few weeks of Quicksilver. Though the damage is temporary, Quicksilver applications should be separated from bensumec applications by 30 days or more, as described here. Fertilizer rates shown above are in pounds of nitrogen per 1000 sq ft. All other rates are in ounces product per 1000 sq ft.
