A4 bentgrass response to cold

Production of the red pigment anthocyanin results in bentgrass foliage with a red to purple coloration. The effect was noticed only on a small proportion of bentgrass plants, suggesting that only some clonal segregants of A4 displayed this type of cold sensitivity.
