Dr. Braun recommends these cultural strategies:

- improving soil and drainage - optimizing light and airflow - adjusting nutrition - reseeding strategically

For chemical strategies, he suggests:

- carfentrazone-ethyl for moss - chlorothalonil, fluazinam, fluxapyroxad, mancozeb, triticonazole, and hydrogen dioxide for algae
