Dollar spot: reduced disease severity with reduced fungicides

There's an interesting article by Chou et al. that describes results of a study looking at dollar spot intensity in Penncross creeping bentgrass. The take-home message? Bentgrass plants that were grown in soils inoculated with a microbiome from soils with lower fungicide use history had less severe dollar spot. Bentgrass plants grown in soils inoculate with a microbiome from soils with a more intensive fungicide use history had more severe dollar spot.
