Yellow sugarcane aphid

The yellow sugarcane aphid, Sipha flava, is straw to bright yellow to light green in color, with two double rows of dusky colored spots down the top of the abdomen. Under a hand lens, it has a hairy appearance, due to many hairs or bristles throughout the body. It was recently found causing damage to kikuyugrass in Southern California.
