Root knot on poa

View Larger July 2016, Southern California, Poa annua greens exhibiting mottled stress pattern following light drought stress. Note the galling on all new roots caused by root knot nematode (Meloidogyne sp.). These plants are over-sensitive to low soil moisture conditions resulting in leaf firing whenever soil moisture is even slightly limiting. The new Bayer product Indemnify may provide a solution when it hits the market next year.
