Weather conditions at College Park, Maryland during the time the brown patch symptoms were observed in this photograph by Joe Doherty, University of Maryland. Note the high stress index and modified Smith Kerns (SK%) dollar spot model values and cool season growth potential (Cool GP%) drop and the ware season growth potential (Warm GP%) increasing at the end of the month when the disease exploded.
