Hyhpae of presumed fairy ring fungus that produces septate hyphae with crystals associated with the hyphae. The crystals appear to be oxalic acid, possibly a calcium salt. Oxalic acid is a strong calcium chelator that is known to play a role in pathogenicity of several plant pathogens. April, 2007, paspalum, Southern California.
