Leaf tips of japanese lawngrass (Zoysia japonica) and manilagrass (Zoysia matrella) developed a scorched appearance in the days after a typhoon, presumably from salt spray. The ocean is about 500 meters away from the golf course. Wind speeds peaked at about 29 m/s (64 mph).
