The PACE Turf GPAvatar provides a rapid assessment of potential C3 (cool season blue line) and C4 (warm season red line) performance at each member location. The X-axis represents the year starting with January and the Y-axis is relative growth potential ranging between 0 and 1 with 1 being optimal growth. As you can see from this sample of PACE Turf members, there are a wide range of climates where turfgrasses are managed. Some climates are C3 dominant year around, some are C4 dominant and some climates do not support either C3 or C4 grasses all year. Also note the  southern hemisphere climates where the seasons are shifted and summer begins in December and winter begins in June.
