Desert Hot Springs, CA fall weather conditions before overseeding commences. Temperature is still too warm for rapid establishment of cool season grasses. Fall overseeding is most successful as Cool GP % exceeds 50% and Warm GP % drops below 50%. Establishment of cool season grasses into warm season grass stands is difficult as long as warm season grasses are still growing well.
