Microdochium after aeration and mowing

Microdochium patch, also known as pink snow mold, can inflict serious damage in cool weather even when there is no snow cover. In this week's photo, you can see a star-burst pattern that appeared following aeration and mowing. The initial infection was spread in six different directions depending upon mowing direction. Treat microdochium patch as soon as it appears - the spores of this disease can be easily spread by mowers, groomers and rollers.
