Gray leaf spot and soil moisture

Poor irrigation uniformity led to moist and dry areas on this fairway. Kikuyugrass in moist soils was not attacked by gray leaf spot (turf to the left), while turf in drier soil was infested with GLS. Soil moisture was measured every two feet for 20 feet out from two separate irrigation heads using the Spectrum Field Scout TDR 300 moisture meter.
