Bensulide and carfentrazone

Bentgrass phytotoxicity observed when carfentrazone (QuickSilver3.7 ml/1000 sq ft) was applied 54 days after application of bensulide (Bensumec 4LF 4 oz/1000 sq ft watered in). Carfentrazone was applied in late November and the photos were taken in mid December. There was no phytotoxicity where the bensulide or carfentrazone alone were appplied. This phytotoxic interaction has been observed in the past as illustrated in this 2009 photo. Unfortunately, the environmental conditions that result in this type of phytotoxicity are unknown at this time.
