Bed bugs

Although they aren't a pest of turf, they are on everyone's mind these days. Being able to recognize bed bugs (Cimex lectularias) can address many questions and anxieties. In this photo, note that the insects are brownish red in color with an oval, flattened shape. They have no wings, and are small (maximum 3/16 inch long).
